Editing Assignments

Table of contents

You can only edit assignments that contain curriculum and curriculum levels that your school has purchased. Exercise care when editing assignments. Deleting or moving an activity in an assignment that has already been assigned may cause data loss.

How to Edit Assignments

You can view all assignments, but you can edit only your own assignments. To edit an assignment that is not your own, open it and save it as a copy.

Note: You can copy assignments that include objective‐based tests, but you can only edit a test if you created it. Even in the case of assignments that you have copied, you must be the owner of a test in order to edit it.

  1. Under the Courses & Assignments tab, select Assignment Archive.
  2. From the Search tab, search for the assignment you wish to edit using the search criteria in the left navigation panel. You can search for assignments by AvailabilitySubjectGrade, or KeywordClick Search. Your search results appear in the center panel.
  1. Select the assignment you want to edit and click Edit.
  2. The Assignment Properties window opens. Make your desired changes to the properties of the assignment.

  1. If you are done editing after making changes to the assignment properties, click Save Changes. You will be returned to the Assignment Archive page.
  2. If you want to edit the tasks within the assignment, click Edit Tasks. A message will ask if you wish to apply your edits to all or selected students. Click All Students or Selected Students. If you save your changes to all students, you may be changing assignments that are in progress.
  3. When you have finished making edits to the tasks in the assignment, click Complete Assignment. If you chose to apply changes to all students, a pop-up message reminds you that you are about to apply your changes to all students who were given the assignment, and asks if you want to proceed. If so, click OK. (If not, click Cancel.)

After you complete editing tasks in the assignment, you are returned to the Courses & Assignments main page.
