Courses in Odyssey Manager

Odyssey now features a Courses and Alignments tab. Courses include pre-built Odyssey High School (OHS) courses, as well as custom courses you can build by grouping assignments together. This option is available for any subject at any grade level in Odyssey. Use the Courses option to build, edit, and manage your courses. You can also network with other Odyssey users in your school or district by sharing your courses and subscribing to other users' shared courses.

Odyssey Gradebook

This version of Odyssey introduces the Gradebook. Gradebook allows you to view and calculate grades for students enrolled in courses. Odyssey activities automatically appear in Gradebook, but may be edited easily to suit your needs. Gradebook also allows the addition of your own classroom grades with manual entry of other scored work like note-taking, class participation, projects, homework and any other work you'd like to track.

Gradebook also allows for increased flexibility in grading. Teachers can apply grade weighting for certain activity types, include mastery scores, handle repeated activities, and convert numerical grades into letter grades. Grades for courses can be exported into CSV files for off-line use.

Middle School Science

For 2012, CompassLearning has expanded the comprehensive suite of middle school science courses it introduced in 2011, with two hundred and one learning assets. Each of these new activities is designed to engage students while preparing them for the in-depth coursework they’ll encounter in middle school.
